Baby Steps

Change Your Thinking Change Your Life

  • “If you find it in your heart to forgive life’s unforeseen circumstances, you will have succeeded.”
  • Work harder on yourself than you do on your job or on others.
  • Develop appreciative understanding of others and keep an open mind, actively listen, and don’t talk.
  • Personal development is the key to any growth. As you can never accomplish something you’ve never accomplished by being the same person you’ve always been.
  • Simplify the “Big Picture” one baby step at a time.
  • Goals are important, yet if the journey is well thought through (SMART goals), then good change will occur, regardless of what the stated goal was.
  • Timing is everything, so if the time is not right, then prepare for the right time. It will eventually come.
  • Reevaluate your goals often. Life is dynamic, so it is important to make sure that your goals are always in line with who you are in the present, and who you want to be in the emerging future.
  • Take small committed steps towards your desired goals each and every day.
  • Take care of yourself. Eat well. Sleep well. Meditate or reflect about your day regularly.
  • Throughout our lives we will all experience challenges. Find a way to release the stress from these challenges in a positive way through music, hobbies, interests, and friends.
  • Think through and read emails, text, letters or any messages out loud before sending them.
  • Love family, friends, and challenges.
  • Turn every challenge into an opportunity and learning.
  • When you exert, you exert, when you relax, you relax. This way you tap into the reserve of your strength with the capacity to assimilate change with more energy.
  • Be curious not judgmental, it’s what we did when we were toddlers, yet most of us forgot how.
  • Know your “Why,” “What,” and “How,” then “Begin with the end goal in mind.”
  • Don’t Start Before You See Where You are Going.
  • Don’t be discouraged by potholes and roadblocks on the road to change. That’s life.
  • At professionally or personally, don’t try to do and be everything for everyone.
  • Choose your battles. Celebrate every victory.
